Do you mean using houses to teleport stuff across the map?

If so I feel it is very tacked on and undermines all efforts of having a nice logistics system and developing the land with roads, etc.

I think if it is to remain in some form it should be moved from housing to another building themed appropriately, a trade post or something like that. It should also have pre-requisites like the source and destination must be connected by roads or by a water route and not just teleport anything anywhere. It could also possibly have some cost associated with it besides time. Maybe go further and require players to move crates between the locations for it to go thru.

i wonder if a quick fix to the system could be to at least scale the time based on quantity of items in storage, same as how tp costs are scaled by your inventory

I have no problem with it now given how we're missing viable ways to transport large amounts of goods (such as waterfalls in rivers, no way to cross rivers with wagons, boats requiring so much time investment with Svim to get higher tiers, etc.) but I look forward to it being rebalanced once transportation itself is adjusted.

House tp should stay until they rebalance our current modes of transportation. There arent always settlements nearby to process resources especially at higher tiers so you end up transporting raw resources at a painful rate of 60 cargo per shipment (provided youve sufficiently leveled svim anyway). 'Just setup a tiered claim in that area' is easier said than done.

As for it undermining road networks, it really doesnt. You still need roads to get around biomes especially in more difficult terrains like the rocky garden to harvest those resources.
