would like to know who is selling the item in the market. would be able to see who stole from the settlement and listed stuff for sale.

Stealing from settlement is a problem, but it should be solved by other means. After all, perpetrators can as well move goods to another claim, good luck tracking them there.

At the same time, developers are supposedly working on a deeper permission system. Inventory logging is another popular request.

Technically, certain external tools can track market order originators. But I consider this to be a data leak by BitCraft, and hope that they will fix it eventually.

I could also see this information being used in a negative way towards people who have added sell orders that are cheaper than others.
