Thank you for all the hard work on improving the game. I was honestly surprised that WASD movement was implemented, but now that we're on this train, the controls need some help.
Firstly, it drives me nuts that Camera Pan and Move To Cursor (or Target + Move + Interact) cannot be the same key. If I hold and drag the mouse (LMB and/or RMB), in almost every game I've ever played, it will pan the camera; then, if I click the same button, it moves to cursor (or some other interact function). I gave it a chance for a few weeks, but having a separate buttons to camera pan and move to cursor is extraordinarily annoying and unnecessary.
Secondly, now that WASD movement is permitted, not being about to naturally camera pan with the mouse buttons without locking out the mouse buttons from other actions is even more annoying. I could get away with just not using the mouse to camera pan (because the center mouse button is not easy to press repetitively on most mice) and instead use WASD (or something similar) to control the camera. I would much rather use these keys for movement now and there does not feel like a way of doing it that is not going to waste my LMB or RMB buttons with Camera Pan.
I suggest:
- Allow Camera Pan when dragging LMB and RMB regardless of what their click function is.
Two quality of life suggestions:
- Do not reset the camera when Camera Pan is activated.
- Lock the mouse location when using Camera Pan.
