Fishing nodes not accurately displaying amount remaining

After chumming a node, when the chum runs out, the node is still showing 90,000-plus fish remaining - BUT, the node disappears, even though I have several more chum of the appropriate tier. This is highly misleading. Nodes should accurately reflect what you can obtain.

it's time limited. if you can't chew through the entire bar in the 15 minutes, you don't get more.

this is why chumming is meant to be a group activity.
