It’s first come first serve for the EA, but they’re working on a name reservation system for 1.0 at the latest

So if I get a name at EA on June 20th it's not locked in when we hit 1.0?

Is there a stat wipe between EA and 1.0 as well?

Name reservation would be on their website, I think.

Stat wipe for 1.0 is not yet discussed.
There will be at least one wipe (probably multiple ones) during EA because of certain map-generation updates, that can't be implemented otherwise.
They mentioned, that they think of / try to keep character-progression (stats). If systems are in place to make it possible. They were thinking of keeping items too, but that's not yet sure.
I expect more info once they settle in when a wipe will occur.

For 1.0, there is no info yet. Voxel said, they have a number if ideas and it would take 4 years of dev work to make them all work out. Semi-officially, EA should last for 1-2 years.

Edit for name reservation:
They said that they'd like to have system in place that people who follow the game the longest (and supported them during alpha) should have higher priority on name saves.

But there are no systems in place yet. So we have to wait for official announcements.
