#Fail to see the fun of the late game

I came in to this game almost completely blind and it has been interesting enough to hold my attention up to tier 2

Past this though, I struggle to see where the fun comes in. It seems like progression heavily favors specialization which is why you create settlements with multiple people, but consequently the things you can do become very limited.

My hope (and this is a guess because I can't find information written anywhere) is that things branch out. For example a smithy would have his own set of gameplay to engage in that doesn't involve depending on others, while also supporting a larger group with his output (or alternatively make money selling what he makes)

I hope I'm wrong and the late game is not devoid of engaging content but the way this game is presented it does not look attractive to someone who only saw the steam page.

TLDR; Game focuses too much on the macro gameplay and not the micro

I am actually ok with long crafting times since you can do other (irl) stuff while waiting. I just don't want that to be all there is.
