Given what we have been told, it seems that a nomadic play style is possible.
It’s been a while though, so I’m not sure how the current plan for bitcraft allows nomads. Stuff like setting your spawn point to your boat or wagon has been mentioned, I think? (That honestly might have been speculation from a few months ago)
