With this mod you can now select and manage multiple buildings at the same time! It even comes with useful utilities like Copying and selecting all buildings with filters.
All hotkeys are rebindable in the settings menu (Settings -> Keybindings -> UI group).

Selecting multiple buildings
You can select multiple buildings of the same kind (Lumbermills, Large Tanks, etc.) by:

  • Holding Shift (or whichever you bind the "Alternate Action" key) and clicking on a building. Shift clicking a selected building to unselect it.
  • Select a building then click Select All (Ctrl + A) or Select in District (Ctrl + Shift + A).
    While one or more buildings is selected, you can also click Copy (Ctrl + C or Ctrl + Insert) to quickly select the Build tool to build the same type of building.

Macro Management
With multiple buildings selected, you can then also uncheck or check to decide which buildings to be affected. You can see quick info of them including their names, the status (Pause/Running), the Storage's type, the Dwellings' number of beavers.

You can (when applicable):

  • Pause/Unpause.
  • Set the Storage's type or remove it.
  • Set Workplace's settings: Workers, Priority and Type.
  • Set the Production's recipe.
  • Delete all selected ones (with Delete key).

Tips

  1. Use More Naming to rename your buildings and it will show up in the list.
  2. Use #1366490328785489960 's Scrollable Entity Panel to add a scroll bar when the panel is too long.
  3. Selected buildings are highlighted.

Just tested and it works as expected (or should I say, as dreamt: I've hoped for this kind of functionality to come to the base game ever since I bought it). My megacities will be so much more easier to set up now!

If you select a beaver then Shift-Click another beaver, the mod causes a crash.

v7.0.1: Fixed a crash when holding Shift to select multiple... Beavers. Also there was a conflict with Buff & Debuff that was fixed, you can update Buff & Debuff if you use both mods.

For some reason this mod's UI is not showing up on the entity-panels for me... multi-select with shift-click still works though. What could be the issue?

maybe check the log and see if any warning is printed out?

and when you multi-select, do you still see the buttons? (i.e. build another, select all etc)

also is it possible that your panel is too long so you can't see it without a scroll?

i do have scrollable entitypanel from timprove ... let me check if there is anything in the logs. And, no the extra buttons don't show up in the multi-select panel - nor do the keyboard shortcuts work

does this need to add some component(s) to the buildings to function? from the component dump i had by Automation's debug tool, it doesn't seem like any extra components from this are on the buildings ...

just curious, could you disable everything except this mod (and dependencies) and start a new game? maybe there is a mod conflict?

I do check that if you cannot build a selecting building, that panel won't show

@whole herald Im using the multi-select tool, but am I right to say that applying the same rotation and position for multiple selected buildings isnt working? I can copy these settings over to other objects, but only if I select one and then use the copy/paste tool

Does this support setting the accept/obtain/supply/empty option? I should really just install the mod and try it, but I'm lazy.
