Hello, I recently re-download this game because the busy period of this month is over and I wanted to continue, but once I log back into the only Google account that I have, most my of stuff is gone and I don't have any of my event stuff anymore. The account went back to when I played it for a couple months and it looked empty and new. Anyone else having this problem where their progress is not saved?

hello, this is not really a bug, cloud saves are not reliable, that’s why is recommended to do manual saves to not lose the progress in case you need to uninstall (or just to be sure cause you never know if an update can break your save, which has already happened)
what you can do is go in-game settings and click on the ☁️ to check if there’s a more recent save of your game, if not (and you never did a previous manual save) your progress is, probably, sadly lost

just click on export save whenever you wanna do a manual save, then store it wherever you want (Drive, download app in your phone…) and it’s done, your progress will be safe:)
and to import it is basically the same but the other way around.
in-game settings<import<search the file and done
