Cannot buy tea or ramen

Hey Devs! I am not sure whether this is a bug or whether I am just stupid, but I am still new-ish to the game and recently unlocked the tea and ramen shops.

I can interact (talk) with the characters but I cannot purchase anything, no matter where I click.

Please help me figure this out?
