I am writing an alternate history book about the future. How do I keep my ideas from aging badly.

I am trying to write a novel that is written in the future but is about the past. So like a meaty history book about events to come. I am very much influenced by the history books I have read about ww2 and I always thought it would be interesting for something like that to take place but in a sci fi context. But I keep worrying about dating myself. For example I reference Tiktok, political commentators, and other modern phenomenon that might come across as cringe. But these are modern icons have to have some impact on the future to come.

The whole story hinges on Joe Biden dying and Ukraine losing the war but all of that can be overturned. I already wrote 2 chapters about these events but the time they take place is in less than a year. My favorite part of 1984 was reading Goldstein's book and that is were I got the idea for this story. Would it still be interesting to explore an alternate version of the future we might experience? Or should I narrow the scope to just a few characters to prevent the story from aging poorly.

@steel jasper just some ideas: with america having gone in a war with russia, russia succesfully invades alsaka and installs a puppet state along with the ukrainina one. Great instability in NATO starts and various rebellions take place in various countries: The UK get in a war for independence, Spain becomes one again the Spanish Republic (The 1 with purple flag), in Italy the North seeceedes from the South and Rome gets wall'd like Berlin, and last but not least, Russia gets in a civil war against zarists that believe n having found the last Romanov. So, Russia becomes Zarist Russia, Italy becomes fascist in th North and Anarchist in the South, Spain becomes once again a republic, the UK gets thorn apart, and now the world is in an utter crisis. It all worsens when an international jihad starts in africa turning various countries in terrorist ones. China ends up in a civil war beetween the Taiwanese and exiled Russians, the Communist Chinese and Zarist backed monarchists, and also communists but wanting an actual liberal republic. As years pass China doesnt get fully united but breaks up in the Monarchist, Taiwanese (Or nationalist) and Liberal Communist Cliques, Russia annexes Siberia and the islamists invade turkey, getting afoothold in greece. With the fall of turkey, greece and the islamists split up instanbul, but various uprising of pro turkish and islamists in greek territories the hellenics start assaulting the streets, in a situation like the Genoeses G8 of 2002. With republican spanish support, catalonia and pais vasco become independent but france annexxes them in the span of 2 years. France also annexed souther britanny, northern africa and Louisiana, and so, now france's the new world power.

As years pass, souther anarchist italy becomes islamist, northern korea gets annexed by the liberal chinese communists, nationalist taiwan annexes the monarchists and all the chinese cliques wage war with the backing of france zarist russia.
