Feature: Mod Version Upgrading

For people like me who have lots of mods in their mod packs, it can be a pain to constantly upgrade mods to the newest version when it comes out.

If there could be a way to instantly transfer the mods (from a version you are already playing) to the newest version, there would be less headaches when switching versions (I have experienced this a lot). In implementing this change, players will be able to play a lot more, and not need to make a big deal of changing versions and downloading mods again.

Of course it might not transfer all of the mods, as some mods need more time to develop, but it could be handy when getting at least a large amount of the mods in the newer mods folder.

To those of you who have believe this would be a good feature to implement into the launcher, react to this with a thumbs up, and a thought bubble if the idea still needs developing.

You can @quartz trench me if you have ideas to improve and refine this option. If this feature is already implemented somewhere, call me a brick and tell me how to do this.

would also be awesome linked to this feature having a "pending" mods list that automatically download it when the mod that wasn't available to the new version gets a release having a menu selection for beta, alpha and full releases to the user choose if would ask to download, download automatically or not download at all each mod

so after importing the mods from the older version, would appear the not available mods in "pending" state and a menu like this:

Alpha versions: [Don't download] [Ask when available] [Download automatically]
Beta versions: [Don't download] [Ask when available] [Download automatically]
Release versions: [Don't download] [Ask when available] [Download automatically]

and the user chooses each state for each version and choose for especific mods as well

This is exactly the thing i needed, i just spend a hour doing all my mods again for version 26.1.2, its so annyoing. 😭

I 100% back this idea up. It’s also useful (and this is general as well) if there can be messages before you even attempt to launch the game that lunar gives an icon that says that certain mods are incompatible with one another (and the versions to). I believe feather client has a feature like that (from rough memory)

Also I apologize for not being active in this suggestion section for a few days, so please dm me or add on to this idea. The more ideas you add, the clearer we can express what we want from the lunar client staff.
