Building cache while launching could sometimes take a long time. A progress bar during building cache (just like downloading files) would help us tell whether it's stuck or not.

You can just check the launch logs
They automatically pop up on launch anyway so if it’s stuck then you can see exactly where it’s stuck

for me i turned the mission control off since i don't need it anyways
the progress bar gives the user an expectation of how long left it may take to build cache

It's hard to do a progress bar here but you should see updates in Mission Control if you have it open
