Add Raw Input Buffer as a Built in Mod

Description:

I think Lunar Client should add Raw Input Buffer as a built in mod. This mod fixes a pretty big issue where Minecraft's default mouse handling causes major frame rate drops and micro stutters, especially if you are using a mouse with a polling rate above 1000 Hz. We are talking 50 to 70% FPS drops just from moving your camera around, which is insane for a client that is supposed to be optimized for competitive play.
The way the mod works is by bypassing GLFW entirely and communicating directly with the Windows kernel, offloading mouse polling to a dedicated background thread (As my understanding) . This frees up CPU resources and lets you use polling rates of 2000 Hz, 4000 Hz, or even 8000 Hz without any issues whatsoever.
A lot of Lunar Client users are using high polling rate mice like the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 or Razer Viper V3 HyperSpeed, so this would be a huge quality of life improvement for the competitive playerbase.

this is not the only mod that adds some type of fix for the mouse polling rate issue and including one of them in lunar would cause the other ones to be incompatible. it also only works on windows so they wouldnt be able to add this for everyone. just add it yourself using the mod downloading

Lunar builds their own version of things, the Windows only part is not a problem since it can just be inactive on other OS, and telling someone to just install it manually defeats the whole purpose of suggesting features for Lunar

it would still break compatibility with other fabric mods that fix this issue using a different solution and people might want to use those

It applies to any built in mod, and since Lunar lets you toggle mods on and off you can just disable it if you are already using something else.

2. lunar has a warning so even if people dont know about this issue they can see it when the launch the game and then search for a solution which can be either decreasing the polling rate or using a mod like this

Just because people can find a solution themselves does not mean Lunar should not make it easier. By that logic Lunar should not have half the mods it already has built in because people can just find them on Modrinth. The whole point of Lunar is convenience and having things ready to go out of the box.

that is why modpacks exist, if you want to just launch your game and not worry about mods use modpacks, lunar made some and people can get them from modrinth too
lunar shouldnt include every single mod that ever existed just because its somewhat useful for some people

Nobody said include every mod that ever existed. This is one specific mod that fixes a real performance issue that affects a huge portion of the competitive playerbase who use high polling rate mice. That is not "somewhat useful for some people" that is a pretty significant issue for a client that markets itself around competitive play.

the people who have a mouse with a high polling rate already get a notification from lunar when the launch it so they know about this issue and can search for a solution for it, lunar should just write an article on their website with all the possible solutions because at the moment they just recommend to lower the polling rate

A notification and an article still puts the work on the user to go find it, read it, download a separate mod and manage it themselves. Having it built in removes all of that friction entirely which is the whole point. Plus not everyone goes out of their way to search for mods or set up their own modpack, this is Minecraft and a lot of people using Lunar are just casual players who do not know much about any of this.

think about this: if they were to add this would it be enabled or disabled by default? if it was disabled most people wouldnt find it because they wouldnt know it existed and if it was enabled by default people would complain about compatibility with mods that include similar fixes all the time increasing the amount of messages in channels like #📋︱community-support and unfortunately also the #1070121335902175313 channel because people keep posting bug reports and questions here for some reason

Lunar already deals with this exact situation for every single mod they have built in. They decide what is on or off by default all the time and handle the support that comes with it, that is just part of running a client. That is not a reason to not add something.
