Information wise, a ghost liquid fix mod removes the client-side visual bug where water or lava appears even though the server never placed it. it happens when your ping is slightly higher and you're desynced, or just moving backwards and placing the lava/water. the mod forces a resync with the server so the ghost liquid actually gets placed
