I would like an implementation of immersive cussedness for modern Minecraft versions but unfortunately that is server-side, making it client-side is technically possible but a nightmare because of the way portals link

Lol yes but I mean a client-side implementation, if you go to the nether and log the chunks you could implement it

that wouldnt work because they cant just ignore the time required to use a nether portal, thats also why immersive portals is required server side to work

No you don’t need that, you could still get the animation when you’re standing in the portal

clients are not able to add mods that change the gameplay and make it work on servers, and why don't you just add the mod yourself?

This would be cool (seeing through Nether portals without being able to interact with it). I do agree, that the rest of Immersive Portals' features would not fit LC at all, because it's a client. But it would be cool to be able to see through portals (ofc toggleable and maybe, that you need to enable it on your server with Appollo).
