Lunar Client should make shield cosmetics actually show up in-game, especially on 1.8.9 servers, where most PvP players are. Right now, the shield shows as “equipped” in the locker, but it doesn’t render on the player at all, making the cosmetic feel useless. Shields were advertised as working on all versions, but that’s clearly not true. If users can’t see what they’ve earned or bought, it breaks trust and makes the cosmetic system feel broken. A good solution is to make the shields render like a back cosmetic, similar to how wings or backpacks work, so they are visible in both third- and first-person views. Lunar should also add shield visibility settings in the cosmetics menu to fix potential layering or scale issues. Other clients like Badlion have shields that work properly across versions, so it’s clearly possible. Many players use 1.8.9 for PvP, so ignoring this version makes shields irrelevant for a huge part of the community. Fixing this would not only make the cosmetics functional, but it would also show players that Lunar cares about delivering what was promised. Please update shield cosmetics so they can be seen properly on 1.8.9 servers.

I really think Lunar should take this into consideration because players are investing time (and in many cases, money) into cosmetics that currently don’t function as expected. Many players earn or choose the shield cosmetic through the Medal quest, not realizing it won’t actually show up in-game—this leads to confusion and frustration. Cosmetics are a big part of the client experience, and when something doesn’t work — especially something advertised to — it reflects poorly on the whole platform. A lot of us are passionate about using Lunar, and we just want to see it improve. Even if it’s not possible to fix right away, a clear response or explanation from the team would go a long way in showing us that you’re listening and being transparent. It’s frustrating to feel ignored when these issues are clearly affecting many users.

Lunar a reply would be nice on why this does not work, or if yu actually could take this into consideration so please give me a reply 👍

The warning is in the product description in the Lunar store. How do you expect Medal, a third-party company, to tell you how it works and if it's compatible? They don't have to; everything is already in the Lunar store.
