The launcher itself should be much more optimized for weaker PCs.. like the Minecraft launcher, it works on any PC without any problem.

The Minecraft Launcher is written in C++, a performant language while Lunar's launcher is written in electron which uses node, a bloated and less performant language. It's most likely the fastest it can be, obviously if they removed the google ads, it would be a lot faster.
