#make the launcher less resource intensive
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
not even talking about launching the game just the launcher itself being open
how potato is your pc bro
also mission control aren't supposed to effect the game?
it's just visualized logs
mission control is laggy af
I have a shitty laptop that I play on sometimes and a nicer computer too
you're able to turn mission control off tho in settings
yes ik but like
the chat logs are nice and i can search em
and theres lots of settings in the launcher
I could open the launcher, get 40% usage, launch, close it, close the game later, open it again, get 40% usage, change settings n check log but thats hard
its really well designed and organized but just even poking around the menu is laggy whether it drops my overall performance or not
yeah why does lunar launcher need so much resource
should be a classic launcher mode that doesnt even need to be fully featured
0 reason to keep allat in memory
mine cools at like 750mb ram use
above discord
its actually nothing on my 5700x like 2% cpu usage but it used to be 10-15% on my 2600
wasnt even an issue then but thats really bad
fr
Dude 400 megabytes of ram takes half ur ram?
💀 💀
because it’s an electron app
they need to move to Tauri and rust
he probaably has chrome open which took 2 gb ram
Yup
i agree bro and dont even get me started on what happens to windows when i click launch
they should make another lunar launcher which is less resource intensive for people to get if they want but keep this as the main one
you can always just launch lunar from the command line and skip the launcher entirely although you'd need to run the launcher to receive any future updates
how
i’ve seen so many websites saying that you can but not a single one has worked
just use vanilla cli args on lunar.jar
they just need to move over to Tauri tbh 💀 i dont get why Lunar is using Electron
Are you running a rock?
its because nobody cares about program optimizations in this fucking world. they just slap a chrome browser in there and call it a day. its also cheaper to maintain so ...
answer: $$$$
tauri is still resource intensive, it still is just a web browser
u got the command?
