I think there should be better intentional support for it though, it sometimes crashes if you try to launch an older version after a newer version. By the way to do it I reccomend turning off the thing where the launcher runs in the background. Next, launch the game. Once it launches, reopen and close the launcher until it lets you launch again

Yeah I do it all the time, just crashes occasionally and it's annoying
