When attempting to enable shaders in-game, if the Lighting Mod is enabled, it will throw a warning to the screen to tell the user it needs to be turned off before shaders can be applied. Having an option to just disable then re-enable the mod if it was already on when wanting to apply shaders would be a nice touch. Just so you wouldn't have to navigate back to the Lunar options menu then back to Video Settings.
#Auto Disable Lighting Mod

You could even prompt the user that the lighting mod was disabled automatically to allow shaders to work

I honestly feel that a settings menu in the Lighting Mod itself for all of these features would be nice. It's annoying to have turn it on and off just to toggle shaders.
I mean realistically you could just automatically disable the mod for the user and tell them which would be more user friendly than quickly pressing enable/disable buttons

yeah
Enabling it by default would save so many people from having to turn it on in the first place.
shaders work by default as it's just optifine, it's lunar's lighting mod which breaks it
