#Optifine 1.21.4 ???
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
adding optifine to new versions was already suggested many times
Up the discussion so it becomes annoying to have to install 20 mods each time to do what Optifine does
@tribal shore
there are modpacks that include all those mods so you only have to download the modpack and put it in lunar
and they will probably add optifine to new versions at some point
I'm not saying otherwise, but it would be cleaner if the lunar client were native and there to meet the needs of players, so we need to talk about it and not let it be taken for granted, otherwise they won't make the opposite change.
optifine offers worse frames then sodium and the mods that come with it i dont see how that would help
By trying to force people to go on this good old crap fabric you're just destroying the community that creates CEM CIT ect sky pack resources you have to install 30 replacement mods to redo optifine's native functionality I find that totally stupid.
sky pack resources have to install 30 replacment mods
sure bud, custom skys only needs a single mod
Fabric API,
Sodium,
FerriteCore,
Indium,
Iris,
Lithium,
Noxesium,
Sodium extra
Reese's sodium
fabric skyboxes
10 mods, and you say 30 replacements?
let's not mention that most of them are just optimization mods
We're asking for an alternative to fabric like in the other versions to have a Minecraft Fabric and Optifine button? so why put mods I'm not saying to put forge but only optifine.
Once again, for the number of features offered by optifine, you install the same mods on sodium and lose + fps.
Here is the list of mods to replace optifine on fabric x)
- EMF (CEM in optine)
- ETF (CEM IN OPTIFINE)
- CONTINUITY (CTM OPTIFINE)
- [CIT] CustomItemTextures
- ENTITY CULLING
- IRIS SHADERS
- JUST ZOOM
- POLYTONE (FOR COLORMAP)
- MELODY(FOR POLYTONE)
- QDAA (antialiasing)
- fabric skyboxes
- fabric skyboxes instop (for optifine format support)
and
Fabric API,
Sodium,
FerriteCore,
Indium,
Iris,
Lithium,
Noxesium,
Sodium extra
Reese's sodium
just zoom?
for zoom feature in optifine
i've never heard of some mods that are here ngl
thatt already is in lunar 😭😹🙏
read the mod descriptions and you'll understand
Just Zoom allows you to zoom by pressing a hotkey (Z or Y by default, depending on your keyboard) and adjust the zoom with your mouse wheel! It feels similar to zooming with the spyglass, but you can zoom in further and don't have the black bars and spyglass overlay blocking your view!
this exists in lunar client
But it's to give you an idea of all the things that add optifine it's not just optimization they've done it's just removed 3/4 of the things.
When you have 20, no, it's not viable, even less so when Optifine does it natively.
do you know that
and
Fabric API,
Sodium,
FerriteCore,
Indium,
Iris,
Lithium,
Noxesium,
exist in lunar client
like u don't need to download any of them
You don't understand the problem it's more serious than that it's literally fucked a whole branch of the community
It's literally impossible to play with a pack larger than 16x16, it's getting ugly and horrible.
First lunar customer image second optifine image? no debate possible upstairs it's a huge pile of crap
i see
No, it's not fixable, since sodiume is poorly made and there's no (native) anti-aliasing.
It's only poorly made mods that cause 1/3 of fps to be lost.
People can't imagine the trade-offs involved in optifine quality/optimization.
Easy to get fps in sodium there is literally NOTHING I'm not talking about removing sodium I'm talking about adding the OPTIFINE option how before simple and effective
can you try to send me the pack that causes this so i can test it myself
or is it not your photo
can you try to send me the pack or no.
It's a pack with a custom colormap and a custom sky that simply doesn't exist in the lunar client natively?
Even if you try and test, you can only get the result by installing the list of mods above.
am i suspposed to guess what pack it's suppsoed t obe
No, it's private and will be released for a big post-apocalypse server later.
i'm gonna just test it and remove it i ain't gonna send it to every1
I'm telling you that sodium doesn't have native AA, so why don't you take a look?
sodium extra prob has
pretty sure download sodium extra takes a few minutes/seconds
downloading*
Once again, natively it's not possible with sodium; you'd need 20 mods to get a similar result.
Ironically, with a pale copy of optifine on sodium I'm at 200 Fps, whereas with optifine 800 😉
It's time to stop comparing raw FPS.
When you don't know why optifine lag a little more
Lunar Client - Sodium - 1.21
FPS: 328
Minecraft - Optifine - 1.21
FPS: 145
btw this is vanilla mc not lc
In short, the debate is that optifine is versatile and has all the right features, even the complex ones, and that it would just be better to add a damn optifine button.
however
let's go the most important thing
this suggestion has been suggested previously.
many times
I'll talk about it again, since it seems to have been forgotten by the devs.
dupe suggestions are closed when the staff see it
I don't give a fuck if I have to, I'll protest for 1 year and open 40 suggestion rooms a day. I have a large French community with 2,000 players who think exactly the same thing, so we'll protest on the Lunar Client discord, which was made for the community, so they have to adapt and listen to their community.
It's even worse if there are already a huge number of closed discussions and they don't react, then there's definitely a problem.
Fabric fps
Optifine FPS
Sodium is made for crappy PCs, and optifine eats up the graphics card, since it makes a huge number of graphics changes to make the image more beautiful and to get the most out of the resource pack.
But sodium is disgusting for good PCs, and the aim of the lunar client is to adapt to all kinds of PCs of all community.
good luck doing that
i have no clue what type of sodium you have that gives you this??? for me ion even notice a diff betweenn sodium and optifine, on 1.8 opti i get like 400 fps, 1.21 sodium i get like 300 fps
ts on 1.8 optifine
