I wanted to throw in a suggestion that could really improve the shopping experience on the Lunar Client website.
I was browsing through the emotes section in particular and planned on grabbing quite a few due to the Memorial Day sale, right? But I ultimately ended up giving up. Not because I didn't want the emotes, but because the process just kinda kills the vibe. You're scrolling through a long list (with no categories by the way - a suggestion within a suggestion, 🤯 !) and when you finally find one you like and click the cart icon + 'Add to Basket' button on the popup window, the website* immediately* takes you to the check out page.
That's totally fine if someone's only buying one thing/item from your storefront, but what if they have a bigger budget or are in the mood to buy more items (emotes in my case)? Every time I add something, I get yanked out of the browsing flow, and then I have to go all the way back to the emotes page and scroll all the way down again just to find where I left off. And by then, the whole momentum's gone. It's frustrating and honestly, just made me close the page altogether without making any purchase.
So my suggestion as a customer and someone who is in the website/UI industry:
- Let the "Add to Basket" button or 'Basket' icon actually function as is and move the item to the shopping cart without taking customers away from the page/place they are at or on. Let people keep browsing without loosing their progress!
- Add some filters or categories to the 'Emotes' page so we are not forever scrolling! Pretty please? ❤️ Maybe have categories like: Dancing, Vibes, Moods, Seasonal, etc. . . whatever. Just something to help us filter if we don't want to scroll until 3025.
Bottom line: Here's my pitch to you as the seller and why this actually makes good sense for both the customer AND you! Beyond convenience for your customers, this will help you boost sales. As it is right now, your website storefront actually works against customers purchasing multiple items in one sale. Every time someone is taken out of their browsing flow and sent directly to checkout instead of the page they were browsing, breaks their rhythm. And that's not a good thing. . .it kills your conversion rates and items per sell. Not sure if this is a KPI you track, but if you do, this could be a good place to see a solid positive improvement if fixed. Impulse buying thrives on convenience and smooth user experience. Less friction = more likely to say "ooh, I want that one too!" and keep adding to their cart/basket. But if the website keeps kicking them out of that flow, you're potentially missing out on those easy extra sales.
So yeah, some small tweaks to your website storefront and boom! A better customer experience for us and a boost in revenue for you. All of this could be accomplished without completely overhauling your current setup.
