i think the current bot messaging for mutes/bans is flawed. i'm a veteran mute and ban receiver and think the bot requires a tweak.
an issue i've come across is the bot's system for messaging already-muted members. the bot sends a message based on a cm/staff member's original mute or ban, yet if the punishment is extended or heightened you aren't notified. i like to stay informed and be aware of when i can annoy fellow lunar client discordians. lunar bot's--dare i say lackluster and outdated--design prevents many users from staying in the loop in an instance that DOES concern them.
i believe a new bot feature should be implemented to educate and update users on their punishment. in addition to my prior request, i believe simple responses to ban and mute appeals are fair. i'm not asking for a gorgeously written and descriptive paragraph, i'd be overjoyed by members being given a short sentence, such as "No, you called 12 people slurs." i'm all too aware that lunar's discord might not have the moderation to cover every appeal thrown, yet i'm also aware that staff here could reasonably step it up in multiple areas--this being one of them.
