Allow us to have the ability to create instances rather than vanilla versions. While vanilla versions are nice, it would be great to have a way to create multiple instances for a specific version. It would also be more convenient. Instances, as in how other launchers handle it, will automatically create a separate game directory, but on lunar modpacks, you'd need to set one manually. This also means everything including your ingame data (worlds, packs, etc.) as well as your mod configurations are stored separately. Instances also would use one source to access game version files, common libraries, and game assets. On the other hand, changing it manually in lunar modpacks will also download everything separately. Using a single source helps with storage management. Along with this please add versions below 1.7 down to 1.0 for a full mc launcher experience.

Allow ALL minecraft versions in Modpacks. As of right now we are only able to import modpacks that are compatible with LUNAR CLIENT versions (1.16.5, 1.20.4, 1.19, etc). Make it so that we can add modpacks for ALL versions of minecraft (1.13, 1.14, 1.8, etc). Along with this, the "Lunar features" option that we can toggle on and off in modpacks should ofc only be available for lunar client supported versions.

Finally, add a way so that we can add mods straight from lunar. While going to modrinth, downloading and importing the mods isnt a huge deal, it still is very annoying that the process is slow, compared to other minecraft launchers and even feather client. We should have the ability to add mods from modrinth and curseforge straight from Lunar Client. It would also be cool to be able to import modpacks, shaders, and resource packs straight from the launcher as well. And ofc make it so that we can do this for lunar client versions, modpacks, and instances (if you guys add that) otherwise vanilla versions.
#Big Updates that could change Lunar and make it amazing.

These are all a good idea 👍
- this is already possible with the modpacks, just duplicate one of the default modpacks multiple times and modify them however you want and support for more modloaders and versions was already suggested many times
- allowing modpacks for all versions is a good idea
- already suggested many times
Instances are a bit different than the current implementation of the modpacks tab
What makes them different
Then instead of “instances” they should allow us to create modpacks through the launcher.
creating modpacks in the launcher was already suggested multiple times
I was actually responding to phantom but for the difference:
- Instances, as in how other launchers handle it, will automatically create a separate game directory, but on lunar modpacks, you'd need to set one manually. This also means everything including your ingame data (worlds, packs, etc.) as well as your mod configurations are stored separately
- Instances (as far as I'm aware) would use one source to access game version files, common libraries, and game assets. On the other hand, changing it manually in lunar modpacks will also download everything separately. Using a single source helps with storage management
Yes actually
Would it be okay with you if I added this to the suggestion?
yes go ahead
Thanks
