#version changer ingame

its not possible to change version in game without breaking compatibility with every mod
and it would take too much effort to make this
just launch both 1.21.4 and 1.8 and switch between these when required
in order to switch between versions you have to reload the game, and if this feature was added
Your computer would probably just explode
oki
Is it possible to have multiple instances at the same?
not true, the protocol barely changes in most versions, it’s how some of the mechanics work which does. While it’s possible, the amount of effort required to make it possible negate the benefits.
just close lunar and open it again (this is not intended but it works) there can be problems if you modify lunar/minecraft settings while using this
it would make it take a lot longer to launch and it would not work with fabric/forge mods because those cant be easily enabled/disabled in game because of the way modloaders like forge and fabric work
It just says "Lauched"
Wait nevermind I had to disable "exit to dock"
Mods would break but vanilla lunar wouldn't change much and since lunar has awful mod support, it doesn't really matter
The guy who suggested this doesn't even use lunar lmao
most mods work with lunar there are only some incompatibilities (mostly mods that are useless with lunar because lunar already has their features)
and if it breaks mods its impossible because lunar includes mods on every version (optifine or sodium at least and in most versions even more mods)
