#please add a setting that allows me to customize my fps limit
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
this is already in minecraft
the highest fps you can use with default fps cap is 255
you can put it at max and its unlimited
bro acting like he has infinity fps so he wants to customize his fps limit into something higer than 255.
unlimited is already good, and if you want to customize it you can in the config
.minecraft -> options.txt
bro my cpu runs at 70c if i put my fps at unlimited
ive to use rivatuner to set the max fps at 360 just to make my cpu temp lower
ive tried this but it doesnt work
my gpu temp is even surpass 75 with unlimited fps
whats your monitor refresh rate and do you use 1.7-1.12 or 1.16.5+?
180hz, i use lunar client 1.7 and 1.8, for newer versions id use fabric
on new versions there is a fabric mod that allows you to change the fps limit to values above 250 and why do you even need that if your monitor is 180hz?
the difference between 250 and 400 is night and day
your monitor cant even show more than 180 fps
do you see the difference between when you play with 60fps on a 60hz monitor and 500fps on a 60hz monitor
it is pretty noticeable
higher frame rate than your monitor refresh rate gives you less latency
my cpu always run at 70c+ when i play minecraft
are you sure you did?
my temp when i play valorant is even lower
yes
it doesnt even work
let me try this
just to let you know, there are more than a single maxfps in the optionslc file, please edit them all
it doesnt work too
weird
but i think 255 is enough
that 45 fps isn't gonna do much diff
everytime i uncap the fps it feels like my cpu would explode
@warm ridge is there a way
rivatuner is known to make minecraft run slower, they do sketchy rendering stuff
now thats crazy
You should play with capped fps. It will result in your computer being much more stable.
You won't be able to tell a difference between 240 or more
All the latency stuff is basically placebo, it can have some impact however very unlikely and not worth the performance cost.
180hz just to play Minecraft
it is normal, people are getting 240hz nowadays
i have 60hz...
No no no
Gg
thats normal not even that muc
Use VSync, it will match you frame rate with the refresh rate of your monitor for the smoothest possible gameplay. Pretty sure its different from just setting max FPS to 180.
If you have an Nvidia GPU you could use their built in FPS cap as well. I'm pretty sure it'll work for Minecraft. I think AMD has something similar as well.
I love nividia
ok
