What do you mean Knock Back? Like a setting in the hosting worlds settings and you can select it to, I guess turn on knockback for fishing rods?

I looked into this and it appears it might be a bug with Hosted worlds. What I was saying before was that in 1.8.9 vanilla, rods do apply knockback to players, but in this case I think the issue is Hosted Worlds specific.
Just tried it on a vanilla 1.8.9 server and it still doesn't apply knockback, so I may have been wrong
