why does every fucking service need an account these days. im attempting to report a bug and youre making me jump through 50 hoops just to do so.

this requirement is naturally discouraging to anyone who wants to report a bug of any kind.

Making an account on our support site is a 2 step process that can take under 60 seconds to complete

#

apparently discord tickets are too hard

sinful flax
#

That is kinda weird

short sandal
#

theres legit no need either unless they have some sort of ulterior motives they refuse to disclose

We opt into using a dedicated support website, in this case through the "FreshDesk" service, in order for issues being reported to be stored and managed without the typical limitations offered by a Discord bot. In order for you as a user to report an issue or create a ticket, you need to create an account so that not only can we know who we're talking to, but you can track your own issues by logging in to see responses/status, and to prevent the spam that could happen with a non registration ticket system. There are no "ulterior motives", nor do we collect/sell any data, you can use a completely random name or email if you wish when registering.

doesn't make it any less of an annoying hoop to jump through and why would I take what some random guy says at face value

As I said originally, the process for registering can take under 60 seconds.

You don't have to take what a "random guy" says at face value, read here:

anything can get breached, any company can bs about data protection because no one sues them. that doesn't mean anything

#

if it was as simple as just putting my discord username or something there'd be no issue

#

but having to make an account is egregious

sinful flax
#

What a good website

short sandal
#

indeed

hybrid drum

If you're worried about data breaches I recommend using password managers and 2FA for everything.

short sandal
#

that's not the main issue the main issue is the account requirement but if there's no fix implemented for the bug in a few days I'll use some bs info and do it

@misty escarp

#

why are you so angry, no one here said anything to provoke you...

short sandal
#

don't talk to me

dapper solstice
#

Did I say I was staff? You're just angry xD

short sandal
#

what part of don't talk to me is hard to understand?

#

let the staff do their jobs

#

larping as a staff member is sad

#

so is self inserting into other people's conversations

#

the "help" you provided isn't even relevant, there were multiple conversations at once, you weren't a part of ANY of them.

#

maybe think before u speak aye

this is actually so funny
you're not making a point but just being annoying and making a big deal of every single thing you encounter
as soon as you're told it doesn't take a minute to create an account, you play the "they're selling my data" card. google actively has access to your data, so does discord, what are you gonna do? you do realize it's 2025 and there are thousands of temp-mail services you can use for this. it's also a support desk and they don't care about your data
you post a suggestion on a public forum, then go "don't talk to me" on negative feedback, calling everyone a "minimod"/"larping as a staff member". I'm sorry if this is common sense and you're failing to understand it
you cannot expect "discord tickets" from a company at this scale. nowadays any game with a large player base uses a website to handle their support tickets, NOT discord
