or, if the server is 1.8.9 exclusive, ban the mod, but if it has a 1.7.10 core and 1.7 players can connect, then have the mod avaliable.

if a server can let 1.7.10 players AND 1.8.9 players connect then it should be reasonable to have the mod so 1.8 players have an even playing field
