Last suggestion as of right now, the launcher has a big that will display friends as online and playing the latest version they've played even when they are offline. I'm not home so I can't take a screenshot, but when I get home I can give a good example. My friend will be offline after getting off of hypixel and the friends list will say he is playing 1.21.4 but when I try to launch it says he's offline.
