there is a skin changer

but you can only change to other users

hack clients don't authenticate with mojang's servers (but custom servers) so the client sends the skin directly to other players of same client (with private network) and then cracked users use skinsrestorer in servers to set a skin from a url.

you make an api call to mojang

if they also changed your skin client side it would lookinstant, while it takes a while to actually update serverside

however lunar would have to build an endpoint so that users upload the image to their servers first and then provide the url of the server to the api
