I think I speak for most of the community when I say adding your own mods is a blessed feature that would allow for much more flexibility and customization. Lunar client, with its broad range of mods, is wonderful; it is has everything you could ever ask for. However, i feel like many are opposed to the limitations presented by the client as opposed to more modern and flexible alternatives such as Feather Client. Allowing the use of forge mods and other 3rd party addons will not only attract more users but also up Lunar Client's game in light of Feather's growing popularity.

That is true but they allowed custom mods on 1.20+

So, I guess there is nothing wrong with adding it to 1.8.9 too

PS: Custom mods on 1.8.9 is much needed!
