Shield Status

Add or create a mod that lets you display the status of a shield. This will be really useful for 1.9+ PvP Servers.

What does the mod do?

• It adds a red color to the shield if it is disabled or cannot be used, and a green color if it is active and can be used.

Yeah I don’t play 1.9 but I have and this mod would help a lot for PvP/just playing in general

can’t you just tell from them holding it up or if it’s down?

When playing Crystal PvP as an example, you don't have the time to look at the exact status of the shield by the animation it has. Giving it some sort of color is a much better status indicator.

i mean it’s not really even an animation it’s either up in front of him or on the side where you can’t see it

if you add the status you’re gonna have to look at the body anyways but instead of looking for green look for brown

the shield is either up or down to the side where you can’t even see it

see shield = its shielding
no see shield = its not shielding

At this point I'm just confused why you would downvote the post. Actively trying to see if the shield is being used or not is very hard, because you need to constantly concentrate at other things. Having a simple color to resemble the status is much easier and faster for the eye to see and then fabricate.

I agree with the color stuff but the only problem is that the shield has 2 states down or up and idk how it’s hard to tell…

It has 3 states actually

Up, down or no usage
