I'd like to recommend a mod called ViaFabric+, please add ViaFabric+ to Minecraft versions 1.8.9, 1.20.1, and potentially more. ViaForge is just an alternative version that works the same but for Forge

I actually tried to add this mod into lunar before, however it crashes the game for me

I even saw you could join bedrock servers if you linked your bedrock account which is very interesting

if this mod doesn't get added, I'd like to see compat for the mod to be added so I can use it without my game crashing

also, I see how it could be useful to use certain mods only available on certain versions on any version of the game, however, ViaFabric+ isn't perfect and can behave unexpectedly, from causing random kicks/bans/detections from the anticheat, to giving potential unfair advantages/disadvantages to your game

also, I have used this mod before, and I haven't experienced side effects too great and it seems pretty seamless

viafabricplus can result in anticheat bans because its not perfect, and it will never be perfect due to the massive differences between 1.8.9 and 1.20's protocols (around 720 updates in the protocol have happened between the two versions, some massive some small)

and despite it being an impressive and sometimes useful mod, I dont really ever see it getting offical support in lunar client
