for example when trying to test out the motion blur value or any type of mod really, you have to exit out of the mod and test it out and if it's not how you want it you have to sometimes go in and out of the mod and its bothering me how annoying it is to manually go search for the mod again so there should be an option or just a genereal feature that does this pretty much like badlion

it's not about tabbing out of the game
they're talking about when you're adjusting a mod's options and you press esc to test it ingame
so if you want to change it again, you'll have to search for the mod again and bring its options
this would make it so it doesn't go back on the main mod menu screen, but where you closed it last time
