basically A lot of forum posts that are duplicate suggestions of different ones get replies stating that they're a "Duplicate" and to "please search suggestions to see if yours has been suggested" or w/e

It's not directly specified anywhere in the rules or the current pinned forum post detailing how to use the forums that this is a thing

you could definitely put in the pinned post "please make sure to search previous suggestions to see if yours has been suggested. if it's been suggested, we've seen it, and suggesting it again won't get it added faster" or Something along those lines

it depends case by case but ultimately the people who moderate this forum & sort through suggestions will decide

97% of the time it’s just blatantly the same suggestion with like no extra detail or changes if there is even any detail
