How this could be a good feature is to make it easier for players to find their packs in the large folder that they have. This filter could contain the default A-Z Filter, Z-A, Newest Pack, Oldest Pack, and recently used packs.
Why this is a good feature is because some players need a simple way of getting to their packs without the hassle of scrolling on down until they find the pack they like.
When this could be a good feature is if a player has a high amount of texture packs in their folder and forgets the name of a good pack. They could easily put on the “Recent Packs” filter and find it in seconds. This could also be good when a player knows one of their favorite packs are on the very bottom of the folder. They just put on the Z-A filter and bam, it’s right there ready for use.
