Have a cloak that changes based on the moon's stage (IRL or In Game). Have it client side so people in different places see different version of the cloak (for example, it does not necessarily have to be just a cloak).
AND/OR
Make the cosmetic change with the time. Either the in game time or irl. This would work the best client-side meaning people would see a different version of the cloak (for example, it does not necessarily have to be just a cloak). One for Morning, Day, Afternoon, Dusk, Night, Midnight, Sun up
