yeah, but you have to calculate how many blocks that is. With the reach distance suggested, you can just literally see your reach distacne

I don't really see the practical application of this. A good player would just instinctively know how far it is. And a bad player should also just learn and not rely on some overlay.

there is already a hit reach distance mod in 1.8

it displays a number though instead of an aura and its only for you

its called reach display
