Make an official statement on why we don't support custom mods

I see people ask this question all the time and NOBODY has given a concrete or definitive answer as to why, I'm making this post so the community can finally be at ease, and as a reference point we can link other members too that ask, so we don't have to repeat it again.

For one think of the cheaters they can add custom hacks.

That can still be done, it just breaks the lunar TOS which is not something i'm sure cheaters care for in the first place

Cheaters using lunar would still be more prominent

Plus adding mods to lunar destroys the purpose of lunar there are clients that sllow you to add cus5om mods but lunar is ment to be a pvp client. Theg take in peoes mod feedback and add pvp related mods (mostly)

1. Hackers, Lunar doesn't want to support people that cheat
2. Purpose, like Crystals said, it defeats the whole purpose of the client
3. Incompatabilities, like Feather has, there will be alot of bugs with this, so people will complain alot

the chat would also be filled with "my mod doesn't work" and Bullshit like that

With simple words, it will ruin the client
Also thats one of the most fun part of lunar. Seeing new amazing mods being added.

Yeah and also it means lunar is an 100% legit client and its impossible to get banned on any server using it

Yea you can kinda easily use ghost clients or even inject lunar, but still its considered one of the safest clients. They cant easily say you are cheating

They can accuse you of anything. The thing is that most people tho will not bother looking at it. Even me, if i have like warnings on my anticheat i wont even bother looking at it.

4. Reputation. Lunar has a good reputation as a client, and adding custom mods will degrade that reputation

Some mods are just OP and I think with all the stuff Lunar already has I think we don't need mods
