Lighting with Shaders

The purpose of the Lighting mod is to brighten up the surroundings and remove shadows. What's the point of using Shaders when you want the shadows gone? Shaders use shadows to make the game look realistic.

I used to have a bug that allowed me to use them both at the same time it looked so good it would be great if they could add this back
