This feature increases fps by almost 2 times in some scenarios and literally does not affect gameplay in any way shape or form. Entity culling makes it that entitys that are behind blocks are not rendered. Therefore increasing the fps by 1.5-2x in some scenarios.

Would be cool but also will prob take a while to implement for the devs

The best one that exists as far as I can see specifically disallows commercial use in its license

#

You can't use it for money or a competitive advantage in your client

Lunar client is a free modpack for anyone owning an offical copy of the minecraft java edition

The Software may not be used to get a) a commercial advantage, or b) monetary
compensation

#

That's what it says in the GitHub

#

Also says
This license does not allow others to distribute the software/derivative works(in source or binary form). You have to contact the author to get permission for redistribution. (For example: Modpacks(that are not hosted on CurseForge), "Clients", mod hosting sites).

And I found this online suggesting that they won't let lunar use it

#

But yea If lunar can make a better version of entity culling than sodium's, this would be a good addition
