Currently on linux, you can't use the 2 or 6 keys while you are holding down shift on legacy versions due to a LWGLJ 2 bug. There are examples of clients and mods that have fixed this, and the mods are super small so I'm guessing it isn't that hard to implement.
#Upgrade LWGLJ, or patch it so it functions on Linux properly.

This would also make seamless raw input possible on 1.8.9, which would be awesome (for windows)
However this is very hard to integrate and can break a lot of functionality and considering this is lunar I don't know rather or not they'd be for adding this considering they haven't even gotten around to adding regular raw input.

Ah, the forge mods is like 2 super short methods
Its not lwglj 3 but it does fix the issue
So if they don't want lwglj 3 they also have the forge option
