#accurate 1.7 hit color on 1.8

technically, the 1.7 animations are never accurate unless you fix the hit color. 1.8 changed the hit color tint and now it looks weird. you can turn on the hit color mod to add back the armor flash, but i'm talking about the actual tint of the hit color. 1.7 practice players should know what i'm talking about. if possible, make it dynamic so its 100% accurate, meaning at night the color gets redder and brighter, when the vignette is high or there are blocks above you the hit color turns black. if not, just add it like how it is in the video, please bro. it wouldn't really benefit the client as a whole too much, its more of a bug fix that default 1.8 doesn't have. its also a sort of quality of life feature. you could add it in the hit color mod as a slider like the should armor color option, and call it "legacy hit color" or something along the lines of that. i also attached two videos, with basically the same circumstances, except the first one is on 1.7.10, and the second one is on 1.8.9 with the hit color module enabled, on default color settings. you can see that in the 1.7 one, the hit color looks a lot more clean, and consistent, vs the 1.8 one, which looks more saturated and odd. its hard to tell over video, but just go in game and test it out.

Exactly

#

Ik it’s pretty petty but no other client has an accurate 1.7 hit color anymore and using the hit color mod doesn’t fix it no matter what color you use bc 1.8 changed the tint

#

I even found the actual exact 1.7 hit color basically reset the hit color mod to default colors then on the color rectangle thingy move it from dark red to the top right corner

#

When ur on 1.7 w that color it’s the exact same as having the mod turned off

#

But on 1.8 it looks completely different

#

So many practice players that moved to 1.8 content like intel, a lunar partner, and stimpy, another lunar partner, who hasn’t moved to 1.8 altogether but still plays hypixel sometimes, would almost definitely use it, I’ve seen their content and they have to use the hit color mod to get the armor hit animation, but they can’t get the actual color, and ig they just use the default color. if you’re using a pack with default armor or a default armor edit with the same colors, it looks terrible compared to the same pack on 1.7 without the hit color mod

Yes we need more customization of hit colors, I think there should be like a brightness slider, I would love to have a hit color like in the Orange's 1.7 animations forge mod

Bc for me I much prefer the 1.7 hit color, so I’d rather have that, but a brightness slider may make it so we can make it ourselves

balmy forge
#

But yes we need a brightness slider

mortal yew
#

I do like the type of hit color where it’s similar to 1.7 and the glint fades in so nice with the hit color

balmy forge

Ong

mortal yew
#

But I much prefer it for bw than practice

#

I think it’s in feather rn

#

But at least lunars isn’t as bad as badlion

balmy forge
#

Yeah man I miss the old Forge days when everything was so much better

balmy forge
mortal yew

Ye

balmy forge
#

But yeah Lunar is just number 1

mortal yew
balmy forge
#

BLC 2.0 was S Tier

mortal yew
#

Wait I mean the hit color

#

Not the client lol

balmy forge
#

O lmfao yeah it had legacy hit color for a long time

mortal yew
#

Fr

#

Miss that

balmy forge
#

Ikr

mortal yew
#

Why’d they ruin it bro

balmy forge
#

To make it "cleaner" ig

mortal yew
#

How is it clean it looks ugly asf

balmy forge
#

But making it cleaner is not worth it if its taking the simplicity away imo, especially when most people actually liked that "non-clean" look

mortal yew
#

Ye

#

1.7 is still much cleaner tho

balmy forge
#

Obv

#

I also miss the old Lunar block hit animations they were unique af and clean as well imo

mortal yew
#

Sumo or boxing on 1.7 feels so much better even if u don’t have the 1.8 hit or miss penalty

balmy forge
#

They shouldn't have removed them, just added an option to toggle between them

mortal yew
balmy forge
#

Yeah I did but the sword is basically like out of your screen, really doesn't look clean at all

mortal yew
#

Ah

balmy forge
#

Its probably like such an easy thing to add too man I've been waiting for months

mortal yew
#

You could probably use that pack on feather and then use the view model adjust mod

balmy forge
#

Wait what

mortal yew
#

Yk how some packs have a side shield

#

Or side sword

mortal yew
#

Ye

balmy forge
#

But ok lemme try rn

mortal yew
#

K

#

You can readjust the position of the sword

#

So you’ll have the og lunar block and the right position

balmy forge
#

Not like I can use Feather or anything cuz the FPS is too bad and sloppy for me but if that mod works its actually insanely cool

balmy forge
mortal yew
#

Idk

#

Me personally I don’t like view model that much for 1.8

balmy forge
#

Pretty sure something like that has been suggested before

mortal yew
#

Even in 1.9

mortal yew
#

In 1.9 it’s good for the shield especially in uhc

#

But I don’t like it for much else

#

So if a pack changes the view model I usually don’t use it

balmy forge
#

Are u sure its a built in mod?

mortal yew
#

Ye

#

At least on 1.19.2

#

My bad for taking too long to respond I was out
