Any updates on fixing this? It's been bugged like this for years, sometimes (very rarely) it works, most of the time its a question mark.

Nah pretty sure its not a discord problem its something wrong with lunars implementation of it. Works fine on windows but not mac or linux.
Maybe the discord library code they are using doesn't properly support mac or linux or has some bugs in it but I highly doubt that
