It'd be good if there was like an option ingame where you could change versions so you dont have to re launch the game, like the skin changer but like with the other versions

this can only be done through viaversions, which is really buggy and can cause bans on certain servers
it will not be possible to switch between actual game versions in the client itself
but there are tools to spoof the version to allow you to join servers that run on another version
