Allowing players to make single player worlds accessible to friends they give access to, through some sort of hosting mechanic.

This would be the best alternative to server hosting, which takes time and effort. Having this feature on lunar client, a very popular client, makes it accessible to most people, and would be a popular addition, as many players wish to play with friends without having to create servers.

its a good idea

#

but it would take months maybe even more

mental lintel
#

true, defo worth it

hollow wolf

to put this idea in a launcher

#
  • there would be a lot of duping glitches
#

and then people would also ask for more e.g. more commands, better connection etc

this is cool

#

in the meantime tho you can use ngrok to host singleplayer worlds

mental lintel
#

yep, but having the feature on lunar would be great, since more players use/have heard of lunar

#

accessible to most as a result

agree

they can maybe add the option to host a server directly from their partner(bisect hosting) in game

#

but it would charge money so yea

mental lintel
#

who're you referring to when you say 'partner'?

mental lintel

ohhh

#

but then i doubt anyone would pay

indigo axle
#

yea

#

this feature gonna take too many efforts

mental lintel
#

i think it's best if hosting happened from the host's IP

I supprt the idea of hosting single player worlds like essential mod does, I use that feature all the time i need to work on smth with a friend

#

Making a server for small things becomes annyoing

indigo axle
#

i actually wanna know how essential does that ngl

indigo rivet
#

you can just do this on your computer anyway by changing a few things

indigo rivet
#

by running the Minecraft server process on your computer and enabling port forwarding on your router people can connect directly to your computer as a server

mental lintel
#

that's basically a server..

indigo rivet
#

I fail to see how that's different from what you're asking
Since by joining someone's game you are joining their internal server, or basically a LAN world

mental lintel
#

true, but that's effort, and a lot of people don't know how to run servers, even though there are tutorials
I think having the ability to do it within a few clicks without having to share a server ip would be a good addition

use aternos and do your world in
