Most of the time, general chat is perfectly fine, and there aren't too many people in chat. However in the case of increased activity, usually after a giveaway or big announcement, procedures are put in place such as a Slowmode and increased moderation to look out for spammers. Additionally, there are 4 additional language chats for users to speak in, along with 2 chats, one for Lunar+ users and one for Nitro boosters. Furthermore, the majority of the time, general is quite 'dead' and doesn't have much activity, this means that creating a second general chat would be creating a second inactive channel. Therefore, I believe an extra general chat isn't needed.

Agreed, even if they did add a general 2 - it'd be hella dead, everyone usually sticks to one channel.
