A few days ago I made a suggestion for this, however, a mod responded saying "The new update was for accuracy. We aren't going to make them inaccurate on purpose."
So I wanted to make a follow up suggestion thread to explain why it will be a good idea to add an option to switch to the Old Lunar block hit animations. (If you do not know what I am talking about, here is a clip on the old animations: https://youtu.be/--Zs2Wkz-Jw)
It would be appreciated if you read the whole thread before responding, as this is quite literally the only thing I have wanted in LC for ages.
It was said that Lunar doesn't want to make their animations inaccurate on purpose. However, there is already an option in the animations mod called "Item Transforms" and it makes the block hit animations "inaccurate". However, because those inaccurate animations are better in most people's opinion, its only beneficial for Lunar to have an option to switch to those animations.
With that being said, it wouldn't hurt to add another option which makes the animations inaccurate in a different way as all it will do is make the client stand out and satisfy a large number of users including me. As long as a huge chunk of players enjoy the animations, it doesn't matter if they are "inaccurate".
I feel the need to specifically address that there should be an option, a choice to change to the old inaccurate animations.
Finally, I am not saying this should be Lunar Client's top priority, in fact this is a very small feature that can probably be added without much time and effort and will add more variety to the client. As I said above, its the only thing I have wanted in LC for ages. Its not only me who wants this, I bet if I could do a poll asking all LC users if they agree with this suggestion, most would agree.
With all that being said, I hope this suggestion is taken into account and old block hit animations can get added in Lunar someday, thanks for your time and have a good day.
